A step-by-step guide:

How to align items

In this guide, we’ll explain how to align items on your design to ensure they remain perfectly positioned when printed.

This is especially useful for text that doesn’t fill the entire page and needs to be centred vertically for a balanced layout. It’s also helpful when you’ve added or resized a border in our editor, ensuring it sits perfectly central on the page.

Aligning items Vertically: Step 1

You can also align items vertically. The process is very similar to aligning horizontally, except you’ll select the vertical option. Click on the item you wish to align vertically, then select the aligning tool and choose the Centre Vertically option, as shown in the screenshot below.

Top Tip: Aligning applies to all items on the page, including borders. Many users find it tricky to position a border or frame centrally. Simply click on the border, then select both the Align Vertically and Align Horizontally tools to position it perfectly in the centre of the page.

Frequently Asked Questions - Aligning Items

Can I align multiple items at once?

Yes. You can align multiple items by selecting them all at once. To do this, hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) on your keyboard while clicking each item with your mouse. Alternatively, click and drag your mouse over the items you want to select. Once selected, use the Align tool to align all chosen items.

Be aware: when multiple items are selected, each one will snap to the centre of the page individually, which may cause them to overlap.
If you want to keep their relative positions the same and align them as a group, use the Group icon to group the selected items first. You can then align the group as a whole — keeping the layout intact while snapping it to your desired alignment.

Yes, you can absolutely align borders and frames in the editor. Simply select the border and use the Align tool to ensure it’s perfectly centred on the page.

Please note: If the border or frame is part of the background image, it may be fixed, meaning it can’t be repositioned. If that’s the case, just get in touch with our team and we’ll be happy to adjust it for you.
